Good Way Releases Google Certified WWCB Docking Stations Ahead Of Market Players
17 Sep, 2021Hsin Tien, Taiwan: Good Way Technology Co., Ltd. 3272.TT), the worldwide leading ODM provider of docking stations and hubs, announces mass production of two new docking stations stringently tested and validated by Google. With this, Good Way expands its line-up of enterprise, education and home office docking station solutions to include support for laptops operating under Google’s Chrome OS. Both models come with certified “WWCB (Works with Chromebook)” badges and have been enabled to support automatic firmware updates via Chrome OS, work on Windows & Mac OS platforms, and are well compatible with USB-C/USB 4/Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 laptops. The two new products include an enterprise-grade USB-C dock and a travel-friendly USB-C dock to satisfy both the business and education verticals. The enterprise model comes with an exceptional array of 14 I/O ports, hosting extensions for triple displays. The travel-friendly model is smaller in size and is designed for portability with 5 I/O ports, meeting all the essential needs of laptops that operate under Chrome, Windows or Mac OS and is very suitable for bundle sales with laptops.“Good Way is proud to work closely with Google as a strategic partner, and we see our collaboration increasingly grow Chromebook’s markets. The solution is designed for IT management system integration enabling IT managers to remotely control and monitor IT devices and ports in the workplace without the need for an external host. Intended applications for the Smart Dock include offices, hospitals, and factories.

This is the industry’s first docking station with HDMI 2.1 certification and PD up to nearly 100W. The product is anticipated to reach mass production this quarter with more Thunderbolt model launches throughout the year.
