Environmental Sustainability

Climate Change Response

Good Way constantly keeps our eyes on the impacts of climate change. In order to reduce greenhouse gas emission, we keep driving the initiatives of low-carbon operations and renewable energy transformation. We also equip our employees with the knowledge of environmental sustainability and sense of importance in their daily lives. In addition, we aim to create an environment where employees can practice energy-saving and carbon reduction in their day-to-day work and life.

Climate Change Information Disclosure

The impact of climate change and extreme weather is intensifying. To proactively address the risks and opportunities arising from climate change, Good Way integrates both TCFD framework, and CDP’s questionnaire of climate change into its existing governance structure. Additionally, we utilize the rainfall data under AR6 scenarios in terms of different raising temperature (≒ 2℃, 1.5℃) globally provided by TCCiP (Taiwan Climate Change Projection Information and Adaptation Knowledge Platform) to assess flood and hillside disaster risk maps (as shown below). This allows us to identify and confirm Good Way's significant physical and transitional risks, opportunities, and potential financial impacts under these climate scenarios, and accordingly, to formulate the strategies and targets that we will respond, while ensuring continuous monitoring and management.
