Our Sustainability

Message From the Chairman

Dear Friends and Stakeholders of Good Way,

Navigating Global Challenges and Opportunities

The year 2024 was marked by both significant challenges and promising opportunities for Good Way. Ongoing global political and economic uncertainty, geopolitical risks, regional conflicts, extreme climate events, and the rapid advancement of AI technologies have all had a notable impact on our revenue and profitability. In response, we have proactively developed and implemented strategic measures to enhance our operational resilience. These include increasing investment in R&D, accelerating diversification of markets and production bases, and promoting low-carbon and digital transformation to improve customer satisfaction and strengthen our supply chain competitiveness.

Key Achievements

Despite persistent operational headwinds, we made meaningful progress in our sustainability initiatives and received recognition from several respected external organizations in 2024. These honors include:

  • #18th place in CommonWealth Magazine’s Corporate Sustainability Awards (Small Giant category).
  • Ecovadis Sustainability Commitment Badge.
  • “Healthy 99” Award from CommonHealth Magazine (CHR Program).
  • Carbon Disclosure Pioneer Award from Cathay United Bank.
  • Certifications for Healthy Workplace and Sports-Friendly Enterprise.

These accomplishments reflect our efforts in the following areas:

Environmental Sustainability

Since committing to net-zero emissions by 2050, we have followed a structured decarbonization roadmap. In 2024, we completed a comprehensive GHG inventory (Scopes 1–3) for all major operational sites, verified under ISO 14064-1. At our Kunshan facility, we have steadily improved energy efficiency through smart energy management systems and maintained a high share of solar power generation. Our new Vietnam facility, scheduled to commence operations in 2025, will also be incorporated into our net-zero strategy.

On the product front, we worked with strategic customers to complete product carbon footprint assessments, achieving ISO 14067 certification. We continue to use environmentally friendly materials that meet 3R principles, aiming to reduce emissions across the product lifecycle and progress toward product carbon neutrality.

Social Impact and Responsibility

Since our founding, Good Way has remained dedicated to corporate social responsibility and fostering a fulfilling, inclusive workplace. We continue to invest in a supportive, diverse, safe, and healthy work environment, ensuring that the rights and well-being of all employees are protected.

Recognizing that talent is the cornerstone of sustainable development, we expanded our recruitment efforts and strengthened partnerships with universities in 2024 to attract a broader range of exceptional candidates. In terms of employee development, we integrated internal and external resources to launch AI-related training and leadership programs that prepare our workforce to grow alongside the company.

Our Good Way Charitable Trust Education Fund has continued its long-standing commitment to public welfare. In 2024, we partnered with the AAEON Foundation to co-sponsor several community programs led by employee volunteers. These efforts supported disadvantaged children and elderly individuals in rural areas. The “Changhua Arts Dream Project,” for example, has now held over 4,000 events across 68 rural schools, reaching more than 5,000 participants. In support of the UN’s plastic reduction initiative, our “Good Way Happiness Team” organized a beach cleanup in Jinshan Zhongjiao Bay, where over 30 employees and family members collected more than 138 kilograms of marine waste—an active step toward ocean conservation.

Corporate Governance and Risk Management

We have continued to enhance our risk management and internal control systems by establishing a dedicated Risk Management Committee. Through rigorous internal auditing and governance mechanisms, we aim to protect stakeholder interests and enhance long-term corporate value.

Good Way was again recognized among the top-performing OTC-listed companies in the Corporate Governance Evaluation jointly conducted by the TWSE and TPEx. We were also honored for the second time with CommonWealth Magazine’s Corporate Sustainability Award. These acknowledgments validate our commitment to sound governance and inspire us to further strengthen compliance and stakeholder engagement.

Looking Ahead

While 2024 presented unprecedented challenges for the global economy and tested our revenue performance, the concerted efforts of our team—in innovation, new technologies, and improved operational efficiency—enabled us to maintain strong customer relationships and order stability. These achievements have laid a solid foundation for facing the challenges of 2025 with confidence.

We are also proud that our progress in ESG continues to gain recognition. We remain committed to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where every team member can thrive and deliver maximum value for Good Way and our customers.

As we turn the page on a demanding year, we look to the future with optimism. Let us step forward together into a hopeful and promising 2025.

Sincerely,
